Recently Nintendo has announced a multitude of games that will hit the Wii before the year's end. This list is my choice of the top 25 games that will hit the Wii by 2008. The games range from a variety of fighting, adventure, shooter, and party games. You may even see some of these games in my hype of the week column, so keep an eye out for the ones you think will be a good buy.
25. Boogie
Boogie is a unique Karaoke, rhythm/music based game that exploits the Wii-mote and nunchuk to get gamers off the couch and moving to the beat. Boogie will allow gamers to dance, sing, and create and star in their own music video. This unique party game shows a lot of potential and innovation. However it is not to certain how the game will shape up since it is the first Boogie game released, and does not have a history to compare it to. Anyways players can choose and customize different characters, and sing and dance to a collection of classic songs. As a bonus the game also includes a microphone to sing along with the game.
The release date is August 7th, 2007 (U.S.) TBA (Europe).
24. Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party
Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party could be a safer purchase than Boogie because of its name. Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party comes with a dancing pad and supports the Wii-mote and nunchuk. The game includes new modes of play, and music hits from the last 40 years.
The release date is September 25, 2007 (US).
23. MySims
My Sims allows a player to re-shape everything in a delightful but disorganized town. Players create their own Sim by choosing from an endless amount of options that can reflect anyone?s own personal style. Players are also allowed to unlock new clothing, hairstyles, and accessories throughout the game. When you first enter the town it is rundown, but throughout the game players can design furniture and appliances, create new homes and businesses, and decide how they want to recreate the landscape.
The release date is September 18, 2007 (US) September, 2007 (Europe).
22. Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution
This cel-shaded fighting game features over fifteen characters from the Naruto anime show, and will follow the storyline of the television series. Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution looks to deliver the same fast action and solid multiplayer that has made this fighting series so great. The game will include fast-paced fighting for up to four players, with nine different gameplay modes. There are also new interactive environments and special mini-games created exclusively for the Wii-mote.
The release date is October 23, 2007 (US).
21. Bleach Shattered Blade
Bleach Shattered Blade?s gameplay and visuals resembles both the early DBZ Budokai series and the Naruto: Clash of the Ninja series. Bleach Shattered Blade features over thirty playable characters along with fast-paced action, which might extends this game?s reach further than only the shows fan base.
The release date is October 9, 2007 (US).
Coming tomorrow games 20-16.
