EA Announces Bret Favre As Madden 09 Cover Player

As the new NFL season rounds to, it is only right for the aniticipation for the newest installment of the Madden Football Franchise to grow. Coming up on the 20th anniversary of the legendary football games, the approach is a little more different then what we are used to, whether it be the gameplay, or the boxwork.

At a recent conference, former GreenBay Packers quarterback Bret Favre announced that he would be the cover player for the upcoming release of Madden 09', and to much surprise, many people were very delighted about this. Bret Favre has been playing in the National Football League since the first Madden game, and nothing beats kicking off a legendary icons retirement as much as this.

The gameplay is something to surprise all, with over 85 new features and the first virtual training option, to give new players a better chance with the legends online and off.

I personally am very happy for Mr. Favre and I hope that he has a great retirement, and I am very glad they decided to choose him instead of a Super Bowl player. What do you guys think?

I think it is stupid, all they are trying to do is take away the madden curse. Farve was good, felt bad for him beause he did all that without a team behind him. He had Driver and Green, and after that, he had nobody, but he still got them to a super bowl. Hats off to Farve, thumbs down to EA. I was hoping purple jesus would be on the cover.

I think it's great! Not only that Favre holds most passing yards, he's been around for a long time. He earned this. I'm still not over Favre retiring!:cry2: Kudos to EA!

I also wish Brady would have been on the cover, so the curse could have continued, and Brady would have been injured. Nothing serious, just enough to make the Pats lose 3-4 games in a row for the first time in about 10 years.

Purple Jesus is by far the best player in the NFL, but I don't wish him to recieve the curse, so I'm glad he didn't get the cover.
