Wii Fit Is A Gimmick, Says Microsoft Executive David Gosen.
Chef Tragic
08-07-2008
Apparently, Microsoft executive David Gosen believes that Wii Fit is a gimmick. The irony is, this David Gosen, who at one point in life worked at Nintendo, is now attempting to call Nintendo's most recent game, which introduced a revolutionary peripheral a, "Gimmick". I wonder if he would be saying this if he was still working with Nintendo...?...

That is something Microsoft does not understand.
That is exactly what needed to be said.

Well beats going at the gym paying what 90$/month. Sure Wii Fit is c**p but if it accually make you lose pounds I don't give a dam if the game was Barbie on it (sarcasm). Maybe if Wii Fit had downloadable updates like new games it could of being more fun. Im sticking with Wii Fit it's original, it works and like I sayed eariler I don't care if the game is terrible (1 week later, throw Wii Fit out the window).

in my opinion microsoft is right in a way. if you buy the game you probably wont play it after the 1st week. in my opinion nintendo wanted to release the balance board but needed a "demo" game to come with there package so people will consider buying a balance board. i believe that the game wasnt meant to be playsd intensively like wii play.
wii play showed how the wii mote works and wii fit shows how the balance board works

That's because the genre of WiiFit is "Geturfatsonsoftheirasses". =D

You can't expect it to be incredibly entertaining. They're possibly jealous because it made so much money for Nintendo.

They say it's a gimmick, yet it's been outselling most of their Xbox 360 games recently? that's pretty pathetic, if you ask me!

I do not think it is so much of a gimmick as a way to get people moving. I do a lot of weight lifting but even the first few times I used Wii Fit I was very sore. The yoga to me is worth the game as I never have done it before and after a few months I am really good with yoga and I can feel my posture improving each time.

Since I am now going to be teaching special education, I have talked with my supervisor about getting one of those plexi-glass covers that Gamestop, Walmart, etc have on consoles to protect them and as part of their education have the students do some Wii Fit.

Well they really do not have a gym class but it is just a way for them to be active and have fun instead of always doing school work.
