Top 25 Games before the year ends.

OK I know I am not a writer, but i have done one of these before and it got people talking. So in order to get some people talking I figured I would try again. So here is my second top 25 games. Also I was bored.

25. Pitfall: The Big Adventure.
Release Date: September 23, 3008
This game is a continuation of the beloved Pitfall series, if you are old enough to remember that series. A new pitfall game hasn’t been seen since the Sega Genesis. This Pitfall is set in the Peruvian jungle.

Players can jump from vine to vine.

Players will be able to discover treasure, battle creatures, and find your way through traps in over 60 levels. The levels will span from freezing cold mountains, to creature filled caves, and obviously huge rain forests. The game will also take advantage of the Wii-motes motion sensing abilities.

One of the many different levels.

24. Sam & Max: Season One
Release Date: September 9, 2008
The Sam & Max PC series has come to the Wii after a big amount of Wii fans demanding it. The episodes in the seasons are all adventures in themselves, and you are able to play any episode you want. However the episodes do refer back to previous ones for purposes of storyline.

Take control of the two heroes in this comedic adventure.

The controls are quite simple, all you have to do is point and click where you want to move, and use the A button to move faster. This works the same when you are steering a vehicle, or using a gun to shoot.

Aim your gun with the Wii-mote.

23. Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant
Release Date: October 7, 2008
In this installment of the Crash Bandicoot series Neo Cortex and N. Brio have created a device that can control minds. Much like the previous Crash Bandicoots this one will be another platformer in which you must run jump and crash through levels.

Take control of Crash Bandicoot in this all new action packed adventure.

22. Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party 2
Release Date: September 16, 2008
This is obviously another installment in the Dance Dance Revolution franchise. Anyone who has played a Dance Dance game before knows the basics of the game. But for everyone who hasn’t played the game, it is basically matching the position of your feet on a mat on the floor to what is shown on the screen.

Take control and dance up a storm.

While the game does not offer much in single player unless you like to dance on your own, it is a very good party game offering hours of play with any of your friends. The Wii installment also takes advantage of the Wii-mote and Nunchuk motion sensor controls.

Make sure you hit the right moves!

21. Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop
Release Date: December 31, 2008
Dead rising allows you to shoot and slash through zombies in a shopping mall. Frank West is a journalists that finds his way to a small suburban town, only to find out that it has been overwhelmed by zombies.

Find a gun and use it.

Frank runs to a shopping mall, but is shocked to find it full of Zombies. As a player you are able to roam through the mall using anything you find as a weapon. The game uses the Wii-motes motion sensor in order to provide an immersive zombie experience.

Or find another use for objects on the floor.

The rest of the games will be put up in installments, so please be patient.

OK, sorry for the double post and I know I said I would post this later on tonight but I was bored. So here is the next five right now.

20. Sonic Unleashed
Release Date: November 18, 2008

A new Sonic game is being developed for the Wii, however this one will not be like that last one. This new sonic melds the 3D world of the new generation systems, with the classic 2D gameplay.

One of the 3D perspective shots of the game.

The 2D feel will be accomplished mainly through camera transitions, and will feature levels spanning from the seven different continents in the Sonic world. Players will need to use all of Sonic’s abilities in order to find the chaos emeralds to help defeat Dr. Eggman.

19. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
Release Date: December 31, 2008

This maybe one of the two cheats I used in this article. Technically this game will come out before the year is over, however it probably will be pushed back (the date seems a little too convenient). Anyways this game is aother installment in the Fatal Frame series, and a unique horror game being exclusively released for the Wii. It will use the Wii-mote to offer an in-depth horror experience.

An example of the horror aspect of the game.

From the footage I have seen it seems that you will use an advanced camera to capture the souls of ghosts, but I can not explain any more about this “camera”. The game has a very eerie feel to it, and looks like it will be a very unique game for the Wii. The photo images do not do justice to the game, and I would suggest that you find the video footage if you are into horror games.

18. Monster Lab
Release Date: October 1, 2008

In this game the player starts off as an apprentice scientist who can create his own monster from a variation of different monster parts. Once the monster is created the player then gets to control the monster for the main part of the game.

This could be one of the monsters you create.

While in control of the monster the player will be able to explore the world of Uncanny Valley, defeat other monsters in combat, search for new monster parts and ingredients, or compete in numerous mini-games. I put this game on the list because I think it will be another unique game, and I have a personal bias towards creating monsters and using them to fight in games.

Or you could have built one of these two, either way hopefully you are the one pwning.

17. Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels
Release Date: November 11, 2008

This game will be based on the animated film that is soon to come out. So obviously the game's story line will follow the movie story line. The Wii version will be built specifically for the Wii-mote, which hopefully means good controls and really fun Llightsaber duels.

Whether you are killing minions

The reason this game is a little bit lower on this list is mainly because I am not to trustworthy of games made from movies, however the Star wars games usually offer a good play through, and a lot of fun.

or facing off against harder enemies, this game is sure to have some fun fighting sequences.

16. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Release Date: October 21, 2008

This new installment in the Spider-Man series of games, which goes way back, will feature a new control scheme that is supposed to give players even more immersion into the game. This new Spider-man game will allow players to choose which side they want to fight on throughout the game. Allowing players to fight with or against villains, depending on what they feel like doing, and being able to constantly switch sides throughout the game.

Spider-Man zipping through New York on his webs.

The environment will be open ended, which means players can travel wherever they want in New York City whenever they feel like it. The new fighting system allows for customizable superpowers, on the streets, along the wall, or on rooftops.

Will you decide to help save the city?

Really looking forward to Sonic Unleashed. If it's anything like the Sonic Rush games, it'll be amazing. Even if it's like the Secret Rings, that was a pretty good game so it wouldn't be a terrible thing.

Great article Libra
