Well the rumors have been flooding around about a new DS for some time, and guess what? Here it is! The new DSi.

Built in SD Card Slot
Camera
Built in Browser Functions
Mii Use Service

Nintendo has states that this is going to be running along side the Nintendo DS Lite, and that is is not a new generation hand held console. It's just an upgraded Nintendo DS Lite. Along with all the features comes something else that is new. DSiware, in other words, downloadable content for your DSi. It's just like WiiWare, to the point where you can download games originally designed and made for the DSi. The games will cost somewhere between 200, 500, and 800 points though there is no telling if we can use WiiPoints cards, or if there will be a new Nintendo DSi Points card.

UPDATE:
As of now there is a release date in Japan for November 1st, 2008. There are no other known release dates.
