Wii Fit Launch Date - The Global Nintendo Wi-Fi Community

Wii Fit has finally received a date to be released in North America. At the Game Developers Conference, on the same day Nintendo announced that WiiWare games will become available on May 12th, Nintendo also announced that Wii Fit will be available in North America on May 19th. Although the price has not been released the game and the board has sold for about 83 US dollars in Japan and the price is not expected to increase and Nintendo has promised the game will be less the 100 dollars. For one, I am excited about this game, I have spent a good portion of my life as a power lifter and I will be interested to see how the exercises on Wii actually stand up to real exercises (although I am more excited about the WiiWare games and the new Final Fantasy coming out on it).

What do the rest of you think of Wii Fit and its upcoming release?

the guitar hero like game that won't be as successful as guitar hero. The game and guitar package is similar to the game and board package. I dont see people wanting to run 3 miles on a game...Just my opinion, but America is frankly too fat for this to work here..

IGN had a poll for how much people would be willing to spend on the board. The majority said $49.99. I want it, but I don't know if I will get it if the price is too extreme. Then again maybe the family would pitch in to buy it if they found it interesting as well...

This is going to be awesome, I've heard there are going to be over 100 titles for the Wii balance board
