Hi.

Can anyone help me out? My Guitar Hero III game has suddenly stopped working properly. Holding down the note keys still works (they light up on screen), but the strum bar does not. That is, if you strum, it may or may not "play" the note. It will make the missed note sound from the wiimote, so at some level it "knows" it's been strummed. My son has been hitting above 90% on medium for most songs, and now he can't finish any-- it's like the guitar has been handicapped. This is true for both guitars.

What I've tried:
Fresh batteries in Wii motes
Restart game.
Unplug power, then plug power in and restart
Clean the game disk.
Remove and replace guitar necks.
Re-sync remotes

We have not noticed any problems while playing other games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl using the same Wii remotes.

maybe it's worn?

I dunno what's different, but today our strum bars work again. Weird.
