Super Mario Bros 3 Review
By Jacob S.
Well, I am sure you have all heard of or played this fantastic game before, and if you have, you know this game really needs no review. The Super Mario Bros series were always best sellers, and the third installment was in my opinion the best.
You start off when you load the game in the NES or on the Wii, and you will see a well animated screen with the Mario Bros on it. This is a
big step up from the old classic Super Mario Bros. When you press start, the screen shows a little window saying how many lives you have left, then places you on the map. This game map style is actually used in the later game on SNES,
Super Mario World. You can move your character along the paths on the map as you please, but you can’t go past unbeaten worlds. You move over a level, then press “A”. You now enter the level.
Now you have entered a real level, and the fun actually starts. The first level here is shown, and you can see the question mark blocks are gone, and are replaced with better animations. As well, when you walk over, you will see that there are Piranha Plants right away, and they can shoot fireballs at you! They become more precise later. You will notice you can pick up the koopa shells after hitting them, and send them in any way you want! After a while though, they come back out, and will hurt you if you’re holding them.
Honestly, the levels are so diverse in this game. Everywhere from an Ice world, to Sand, Piranha, Giant, and even Cloud levels. This game is truly a beautiful piece of work, and it really doesn’t take away from game play with the added graphical bonus! Really, the levels are all different, and you will see many different tricks and secrets in this game. I am still looking back to it every day and I find something hidden and secret. The game has not only become one of the greatest classics ever made, but it’s still by my standards the best game ever made. It’s just so darn fun, and it never wears down on you. The replay value is through the roof with all the different worlds, and the secret Mario Hammer Bros suit is absolutely amazing! I suggest trying to find it.
As you can see, the map is really well made and designed with many different ways to go, so you never get bored! There are 7 other maps as well, and many of them have deep secrets on them. Get looking!
In conclusion, the game simply cannot be beat. Amazing Graphics, Even better Gaming, tough levels, insane amounts of replay value, and a great asset to any collection of games. In fact, I’m sure you already bought this before, so there you go!
My score for Super Mario Bros 3:
9.8
