Is putting things on the outside of the wii considered modding? This could be anything from stickers to spray paint...I am just curious, thinking about adding some life to my wii. I don't want to void the warranty however. Any help is appreciated.

Yes it is considered modding your wii. Any changes to your systems appearance, be it inside or out is modding.

Unless it is like an adhesive sticker that can come off at any time with no residue then it is modding. For example Wii Skins with an adhesive back that can be removed with no residue and placed back later is acceptable because it will not harm the surface of the Nintendo Wii system and leave marks.

The only modding that Nintendo is concerned with would be the technical modifications that allow you to alter or exploit their system. What they're looknig for specifically would be a modified chip that allows users to play illegal game copies mostly.

Modifying the outside of your wii aesthetically is perfectly fine, if you're not brave enough to actually paint it you might look in to just buying an aftermarket shell. I'm going to buy a black shell for mine personally. Cheers.
