E3 2008: Nintendo's Big Announcement

Recently Geoff Keighley talked to Reggie Fils-Aime (President of Nintendo), on the latest GameTrailers TV, about what’s in store for Nintendo in the upcoming months… especially after E3 2008.

Here are some quotes from from Reggie:
"We are going to have great new content maximizing all our key franchises," Fils-Aime promised. "It's going to be a good second half."

“There’s gonna be a big game for the holiday that the gamers will want,” he said. “All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited.”

So what do you guys think this "BIG" announcement will be?

I personally hope it's a new Zelda title.

That to me sounds like their "key franchises" will be somehow connected through this announcement. Whether that includes a hard drive (which means downloadable content probably) or a system of unlocks only for having another save file on your wii, nobody knows but Nintendo.

I'd like to see another Zelda game... I love them.
And I'm getting tired of seeing Mario in every other video game that Nintendo makes nowadays... so Legend of Zelda ftw.

What do you mean? Mario only gets around two main platformers a console.
Other companies make all of those stupid mario parties. Zelda normally gets the same number of nintendo made games as mario.
