I was active duty Army for four years, got out for a bit and now I go to school full time and am in the Air Force Natl. Guard. I used to get paid to blow stuff up and play with really cool toys, now they pay me to fix radio and satellite equipment. It's definitely a change of pace

hehe I see... My brother just started Basic training in January and is now finishing AIT where he gets to play with guns and stuff but I think hes a bit homesick from his Girlfriend. Did you ever get that way??
(He...were off topic, but I just wanted to know if it was just him or everyone)

Eh... I broke up with my girlfriend before I went to basic because I knew that she was going to head off to college in Nebraska, and I was going to be stationed somewhere (they don't tell you until you're done with AIT) far away. I ended up being stationed in New York and having a blast so it all worked out. You do get a lil' homesick though but that's just because he's young and probably hasn't been away from home much before.
