Pokemon Red/blue, either one they are basically the same, and my favorite pokemon were squirtle and bulbasaur, just because they were the only pokemon that sounded cool when they talked on the TV shows. If i absolutely had to pick, I'd pikc Bulbasaur.

Red/Blue and Gold/Silver were and will always remain the best. You didn't have to remember and catch 4000000 pokemanz, they were more challenging(in my opinion), Gold/Silver allowed you to go to two regions, etc, etc.
As for my favorite thats easy; Magikarp. Nothing beats that beastly thing. ;D

Gold/Silver/Crystal for sure.
Nothing seems to have equaled their greatness.

EMERALD! it also has an awesome cloning glitch, everyone I had in Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire are still in emerald but theay are also in diamond 
SNORLAX is definately my favorite pokemon with his awesome speed and fatness

I absolutly loved Gold and Silver, for some reason they just stand out.
