they wouldn't do that. like the colonel from metal gear solid said to snake on the brawl video "he's so famous there probably isn't a single person who doesn't know him" they wouldn't replace him with link.

As much as I love Link, I don't think they'd do this. Mario is too well known. Like someone said before, when any person mentions video games, the first thing that pops into your head is Mario. It does for me anyway.

Mario is the franchise leader, Link is just a close 2nd.

I don't think it will happen. Think about it, Link Kart. Super Link Baseball. Link Kart Wii. It just doesn't fit. Besides, Mario is Mr. Nintendo. After the Game & Watch series' Mario (known as Jump Man then) was what sold Donkey Kong & boosted Nintendo into what it is today. Take out Mario & nintendo won't be seeing as much fans, or games selling unless it's Wi-Fi.

Conclusion: Nintendo is not Nintendo without Mario? Is that what you guys are trying to say?

Btw Link is cool and all but nah, you can't just take Mario off like that. So likely hood of that actually happening is low.

But they can always slowly get Link to replace Mario, little by little. And I mean VERY LITTLE changes, creaping at Mario's throne cm by cm.

They Would NEVER. EVER. Think of replacing Mario with Link, even though the Zelda games are one of the best sets of games ever created. They wouldn't.

This won't happen. Sure Mario has been every where but we are underestimating Nintendo. We don't know what they will do next, under water adventure? Who knows! Link is a solid characters but he doesn't even have a series named after him. It's not Super Peach. Link is great but he is the one limited I think. He is a warrior, you can't make warriors go everywhere like the average joe.

Mario is definitely more of a Nintendo mascot plus he has so many games for Nintendo Link only appears in Zelda games and Smash Bros. But Mario has his own adventure games plus a whole load of other games centered around his name. Plus Mario has a voice thats fun to imitate.

I don't know I'm going to miss all Mario named games.Like Mario Party will probably be changed to Link Party.
