I think it's a good idea. Other people might not like it since it takes an extra click to get there:p, but mebe not. Let's see what the other guys say./some girls.

I really like this better. Though it is more clicks I think it makes the forums look a little cleaner if you know what I mean. Not everything is there on one page looking all clustered.
